Exploring the World of Words
From learning to recognize our letters, their sounds, writing them, putting them together to form words, reading books and writing sentences, we do it all over the course of our preschool. We send our preschool graduates to kindergarten reading on a 1st to 2nd grade reading level. We start formal reading lessons at age 4, depending on each child's readiness.

Adventures In Science

Fun In The Sun
We have outside time each day, either in the back yard or on the driveway. In the back yard we have lots of climbing toys plus we play games. In the driveway we use sidewalk chalk, bubbles and riding toys. If it is raining, we spend some time on the front porch playing or watching the rain. During the summer we have fun in the sprinkler.
We enjoy doing exercise videos, playing movement games and just jumping around to get the wiggles out.
Infants are fed on whatever schedule they are on, on demand. As they get older we try to get them on a certain schedule that works with nap time and other activities. We try to do tummy time twice a day. We move the child to different settings as they get tired of where they are. We spend time holding and rocking them as well as taking time to teach them how to hold toys and other new skills. As they get older we involve them in the older children's activities to their ability. When they are doing things too difficult for them they will be given something more their ability but in the same area so that they feel included in the group.
